The “Cantate” rehearsal/performance dress code includes the following guidelines:

v       The singer’s mid-section should not be exposed even when raising the hands over the head.

v       All blouses and shirts should have a modest cut that doesn’t even come close to exposing undergarments or cleavage.

v       Tops should fit somewhat loosely; not skin tight.

v       No sleeveless tops.

v       Pants should sit comfortably, and not too tight, at the natural waistline.

v       Skirts or dresses should fall at or below the knee and not be transparent or shear.

Performance Attire

The “Cantate!” performance “uniform” consists of black shoes and black pants with a modest fit/cut that sits at the natural waistline. The ladies may wear black pants or black skirts that fall at or below the knee.

All singers wear a solid, plain, brightly colored shirt of their choice. Nice t-shirts, button downs, polos, or non-distracting ladies shirts are all acceptable.  Sleeveless shirts are NOT acceptable. Please be sure that the singers’ stomach is not visible and that the shirt adequately overlaps the waistband.

The only jewelry allowed is for ladies and it should be not draw attention. The young men and boys will not wear earrings or any attention drawing jewelry. The directors will have the final say if there are any questions in this area.
